Based on Facts is a radio show that I host on WELT 95.7 FM (broadcasting from the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, IN).  I present the facts and/or Science behind a number of different topics in news, culture, or politics in an effort to combat the myths/misconceptions that run rampant in modern society and on social media.  I treat this as an extension of my classroom to cover a number of controversial topics, including GMOs, abortion, religion, holistic medicine, and the presidential election.  I do not rehearse or edit the episodes (beyond trimming the beginning and end of each), so they may be a little rough and impromptu.  I undergo much effort to research the topics each week, typically spending 10+ hours putting together pages of notes for talking points on each episode.
